I wanted the business card to reflect my biology concentration, so I chose an animal tessellation by artist M.C. Escher for the background. As well as including lizards and fish, the repeating pattern includes bats, the subject of my lab and thesis. Hence, I desaturated the image save one bat, alluding to my academic focus.
